Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. We understand that life happens and schedules can change, but missed appointments prevent us from providing care to other patients who may need it.
Please review our cancellation policy below:
• 24-Hour Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled time.
• Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments (no-shows), will be subject to a cancellation fee of $120
• How to Cancel: You can easily modify your booking by clicking the "Cancel/Reschedule" link located at the bottom of your appointment confirmation email. Or you can call 782-838-0808.
• Emergencies: please contact us as soon as possible, and fee waivers will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Thank you for your understanding.
Payment & Direct Billing Policy
We are pleased to offer Direct Billing for most major insurance providers. However, please note that insurance coverage varies by policy.
• Patients are fully responsible for checking their own insurance coverage limits and requirements (e.g., doctor's note) prior to their visit.
• In the event that your insurance provider denies the claim, covers only a portion, or if the direct billing portal is down, you are responsible for paying the full or remaining balance at the end of your treatment. We accept Credit Cards, Debit, and e-Transfer.
Health, Safety & Scent-Free Policy
• Scent-Free Environment: Out of respect for patients and staff with environmental sensitivities and allergies, please refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes, or strongly scented lotions when visiting the clinic.
• Illness: If you are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness (fever, severe cough, flu-like symptoms), please contact us to reschedule your appointment. Late cancellation fees will be waived for sudden contagious illnesses.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. All personal and medical information shared during your intake and treatment is strictly confidential and stored securely in compliance with the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) of Nova Scotia. Your records will not be shared with any third party without your explicit written consent, except as required by law.
Informed Consent to Treatment & Waiver
Prior to your first treatment, you will be required to sign a Consent & Waiver form. By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you will be receiving acupuncture, cupping, or other Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities from a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac). You understand that while these therapies are generally highly safe, there are slight risks of minor side effects (e.g., localized bruising from cupping, minor bleeding, or temporary soreness). A full consent form detailing these points will be provided for your signature upon arrival at the clinic.
